Frequently Asked Questions About the Resort

Where is Amarta Nurtura located and how do I get there from Bali airport?

Amarta Nurtura's flagship Amarta Roots resort is in the Ubud area of Bali, Indonesia, approximately 1.5–2 hours from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) by private transfer. Amarta Modern properties are located in Sanur (approximately 30 minutes from the airport) and Uluwatu (approximately 45 minutes). The resort can arrange airport transfers — please enquire at info@amartanurtura.com when booking.

Why does Amarta Nurtura have only three villas — is that limiting?

The three-villa limit is a deliberate design choice, not a constraint. With only three guest villas, Amarta Nurtura maintains an extremely low guest-to-staff ratio that makes genuine personalisation possible. Clinical staff can adapt daily programmes in real time, the maternal dietitian can customise meals individually, and the environment remains authentically quiet — no crowds, no noise, no anonymous corridors. For mothers in the fourth trimester, this level of calm and individual attention is the product, not the accommodation itself.

What facilities are included at the Amarta Nurtura wellness centre?

The 350 sqm wellness centre includes: a heated mineral-water float pool for nervous system regulation and sensory rest; a light-filled yoga studio equipped for prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga, breathwork, and restorative practice; private therapy rooms for Jamu postpartum massage, lymphatic drainage, pelvic floor rehabilitation, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, and energy healing. The wellness centre is exclusively available to staying guests (and select external guests via a dedicated entrance), ensuring privacy throughout.

What is the "Sacred Window" philosophy that Amarta Nurtura is built around?

The Sacred Window (or "Golden Month") refers to the first 40 days after birth — a period recognised across Indonesian, Chinese, Malay, Indian Ayurvedic, and many other cultural traditions as requiring complete rest, warmth, specific nourishment, and protection from stress and social obligations. Modern perinatal research validates this timeframe: hormonal recalibration, uterine involution, pelvic floor recovery, and lactation establishment all occur during this window. Amarta Nurtura is built to honour this period by removing every barrier to genuine rest and providing active clinical and traditional support throughout.

Can I visit Amarta Nurtura for a day spa experience without staying overnight?

Yes. External guests who are not staying at the resort can book individual sessions — yoga, float therapy, massage, breathwork, and bodywork — through the Amarta Nurtura app. A dedicated external entrance is maintained to protect the privacy of stay guests. Single-session bookings are available for yoga (60 min), float therapy (60 or 90 min), postpartum recovery massage (75 min), lymphatic drainage (75 min), and combined packages. Contact info@amartanurtura.com or visit the external bookings page for pricing.
